The very first marine seabus with zero emissionThe two seabus provide a shuttle service between La Rochelle old harbour and Les Minimes marina.
Doing so, they sail at 6 knots through the channel subject to westerly wind, waves and tide stream.
During rush hours, each bus performs 15 travels without any recharge, covering a total distance of 70 km.
The new bow shape allows to go smoothly through the choppy sea and passenger
cabin has been lowered to reduce windage and to increase range.
Passengers appreciate the all around sight provided by the glass cabin and the
extraordinary quietness of the aft deck.
Thanks to the immersed rotating pods and to the hook system, ships
can maneuver very easily inside the marina.
With La Rochelle seabus, Alt.en shows that it is now possible to provide a
regular marine service carrying 75 passengers using a
zero emission electric propulsion.
